competition is good! (Google Video store vs iTunes)...

why buying a Music Video if you can get it for free

and this time MBAs resonates in our heads "why buy the cow if you can get the milk for free? "

try Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody on Google's Video Store here for instance... and btw, forget the iPod obsession.. just think about putting that in tons of PC screens all around the world.. that makes a decent case for a video rental shop on Amphitheater road.

boa musica pra começar o carnaval!

or is it Google Video instead? (links to a couple of jewels..)

who really wants to watch TV on a saturday morning when there's google video (is it beating iTunes?!) ?

my personal favorite is Google Video (easier to search for content on it ;-) )

un par de joyas!.
"Woz" (Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple Computer) in an 1:30hr long video. He spent an evening in the Computer History Museum, sharing stories of his pre-Apple and early apple life. amazing stuff:

and they also have a video of Sergey Brin (Google's co-founder) in a lecture at UC Berkeley. it was mostly QnA... it started with an interestion mention to wikipedia

NBC using iTunes to boost TV ratings

NBC came up with something quite interesting... in their quest to find audiences in 25-35 year olds, they came up with Conviction, and decided to put FOR FREE on iTunes the pilot of this new series.

The series itself premiers on March 3rd on NBC, but the pilot has been available in iTunes since Feb 21st. what cable TV vendor can match that?

and what about internationally? me disculpa TVA, y lo siento mucho SKY.. you guys are losing!

But is hard to miss the irony here: exactly the major TV networks that could have felt its business model threatened by iTunes selling content on demand, are willing to use it to defend themselves. it might be a smart transformation for NBC.

what have you done for the Internet today???

go to wikipedia... refine some article... c'mon: you have to be an expert in something (your hometown, your favorite hero, a great city, an animal).

não é injusto mesmo só estar pela rede pegando o que outros fazem? dá pra colaborar!!

who competes with my cable-tv provider?

sure! you know the classic "substitute products", like buying a DVD in Target (as we did with "March of the Penguins" earlier this week), movie theaters and even open TV.. but

last night, it was Apple computer. It was just great to get the "Ugly Duckling" from the iTunes music store for $1.99... watching it in the notebook while in bed was quite a good alternative for us instead of not-that-good open TV in Bogotá.

and Google is not resting... its Video Store might get big... I'm still wondering how many lawyers it will take for it to get really global...
